Sicily
Europe's premier flat-water kite lagoon. A 5-star wine estate. Founders who move, eat, and think together.
Lo Stagnone Lagoon
Lo Stagnone is Italy's largest coastal lagoon — a 7 km stretch of shallow, crystal-clear water averaging just 1 metre deep. Sheltered from the open sea by the ancient island of Isola Grande, its surface stays glass-flat even in strong winds, making it one of the most exceptional kite spots in the world.
With over 300 windy days per year and consistent thermal winds from April to October, Lo Stagnone is perfect for all levels — from first-timers standing in knee-deep water to seasoned freestylers pushing their limits. The lagoon is set within a UNESCO-protected nature reserve, framed by historic salt pans, ancient windmills, and sweeping views of the Egadi Islands.
